Ashley Flynn, who has a wealth of experience in non league football, returns to Golcar United.

The striker has played for a range of clubs over his career, ranging from Emley, Wakefield and most recently Maltby.

Flynn played for The Weavers back in the 2021/22 season which he scored 33 goals so, the forward will no doubt add some much needed quality to The Weaver's front line.

Manager Joe Skarz is delighted to get the deal over the line.

"Football has a habit of things popping up unexpectedly, myself and Ash were out on a walk yesterday morning with the kids and I just put the question to ash of him coming to join us, in which he didn't dismiss.

"The agreement has now happened quickly since and we thank Maltby and in particular their chairman Kieran in assisting in this.

"Ash's experience, character and ability will help us massively moving forward."

Ashley Flynn is sadly unavailable for selection in tomorrow's West Riding County Cup fixture against Leeds UFCA.
