It is with regret that Golcar United announce that popular First Team Physio has decided to leave the club in order to take up an opportunity with Step 3 side, Gainsborough Trinity.
Connor Kavanagh, affectionately known as "Baby Hands" by the players, joined the club 5 years ago and has experienced many highs with the Weavers- and amazingly, a couple of red cards!
Connor wishes to say:
"I've been at Golcar United for 5 seasons, this is a very difficult decision for me to leave I hold this club dearly in my heart. However, I have been presented an opportunity to progress my career at a Step 3 football club, Gainsborough Trinity, that I simply can't turn down.
I have really enjoyed my time at Golcar United and made some amazing memories such as winning the Play Offs in our first full season in non-league, reaching 2 cup finals and reaching the Play Off Semi Final in our most recent season.
I would like to thank everyone at the club; from Ash and Gav who brought me into the club, Joe Skarz for his advice, Ben Senior, all players who I've crossed paths with, and all volunteers such as Kersh, Dale, Armo and everyone else behind the scenes who have made my time at this club special. I wish nothing but the best the the club!
Up the Village"
Not only was Connor a physio, he also sponsored the club across various seasons through his own business http://www.ck-sportsmassagetherapy.co.uk/
Thank you for all your hard work and time at Golcar United, Connor, and you leave the club with all our best wishes. Good Luck!
