Golcar United play host again as we welcome Beverley Town to The Skye Direct Stadium.
On the weekend, Golcar faced a stern, defiant Handsworth who battled to come away with a late 1-0 win, more evidence of The Weavers frustrating struggle to score, despite some good chances throughout.
It means this Tuesday night kick-off represents, though early, something of a must-win or at least must not lose for Golcar, sitting down near the bottom of the table, yet to get a point and facing fellow strugglers in Beverley Town.
Its a chance for a turning point in the season and The Village's famous home support will be massive to come through with a win.
The visitors travel 72 miles from East Yorkshire in hope of grabbing what also would be their first win of the season.
This is their second season in the Northern Counties East Football League Premier Division after being promoted back in 2024.
It won't be lost on Golcar fans what happened in their first season, as The Beavers travelled to The Skye Direct for the play-off semi-final last year in front of a home crowd of 1,127, and won it 1-0 to send them into the final, they eventually lost on penalties, despite being 2-0 up at the break but it was a stellar first season in the division.
Whilst Beverley Town's second hasn't started as they'd hoped, their games have been exciting producing fourteen goals in four games, scoring five whilst having the worst defence in the league conceding nine, something Golcar can hopefully get at to end the scoring woes.
