After Saturday's emphatic 5-2 victory at Thackley, Golcar make their return to the Skye Direct Stadium.
It will be the Weavers first home fixture since the 30th December against Leeds UFCA in the West Riding County Cup. Our last league fixture as hosts came on the 2nd December, where we picked up a point against Tadcaster Albion.
Thanks to the vital three points collected at the weekend, The Village have put a little bit of distance between themselves and the dreaded relegation places, rising to 17th in the table.
A brace on Saturday for Ashley Flynn made it three goals in his first three appearances after resigning for the club in December. Top scorer George Doyle also bagged again at the weekend, scoring in consecutive games for the first time since November.
Joe Skarz will be hoping that his prolific front line can help us on our way to make it back to back wins against a side who have struggled for form of late.
Eccleshill managed to put an end to their six game winless run, in a 1-0 win against Albion Sports. During this poor spell, they picked up only one point. On top of that, The Eagles have only scored two goals in their last seven games.
Tomorrow promises a great opportunity for The Weavers to pick up some more important points.
Of course the visitors still do have quality within their ranks, like the young goalkeeper Oliver Riva. Riva came through at Accrington Stanley, before making the switch to Huddersfield Town. He has featured in all but one game for the visitors this season.
The Eagles also have football league pedigree at the back in Ben Gordon. The full back has featured for England at youth level and has featured for a plethora of EFL clubs. The Chelsea youth prospect's experience will set up an interesting clash with our tricky wingers.
It could pose to be a tricky and tight contest just like our previous meeting in September, where we lost 1-0. The defeat was our only defeat that month.
We could do with as many of you as possible at the Skye Direct Stadium to back Joe and the boys and help get us over the line.
See you all there!
Up The Village!
