It was the first win of the month and came in dramatic fashion with two goals in additional time, one a wonderful free-kick from Rico Kilbourn and the other a header from Romario Dunkley who celebrated in-front of a raucous home end.

Back-to-back victories would go a long way for Golcar as we currently sit one place behind Horbury Town in 17th.

Whilst that paints a bleak picture, The Village are unbeaten in three and the last two league games were solid draws away from home.

The return and addition of Ashley Flynn last week to our forward line also provides optimism that more goals could come.

Horbury Town are a new addition to the NCEL, their first of three seasons in Division One coming in 2022.

They were then promoted last season following a stellar campaign led by Darren Barnes, accumulating 95 points to finish top.

This season has presented challenges for them, especially early on, going winless in their first ten.

But a stellar November run has gave them belief and they face Golcar in renewed spirits, hopefully to set up an exciting game.
