Just three days since the last league game, Golcar return to action, travelling to the Clayborn Stadium for a tough test against NCEL Premier Division champions Liversedge.

It was a disappointing evening on Tuesday, with the visitors Barton Town winning 3-0 but hopefully it was just a blemish in an otherwise solid end-of-season run.

Ahead of this one the Weavers sit in 11th now eight clear of the drop with just three games to go after this one.

A feature in recent weeks has been the increased number of goals for Golcar, only failing to score in two games since mid December.

But tomorrow's opposition have kept three clean sheets in their last three and boast an outstanding record at the back, only conceding 25 in their 33 league games thus far; the Weavers in-form forwards will be important to getting a positive result.

Sedge wrapped up the league title last week in excellent fashion with a 3-0 victory away against Parkgate.

Top-scorer Kaelan Swales was on the scoresheet to bag his 16th of the season in a stellar campaign for the forward, formerly of FC United of Manchester, Alfreton Town and Wakefield AFC to name a few.

Liversedge visited the Skye Direct Stadium back in October in a tight affair which eventually ended 2-1 to the visitors, with goals from Walton and Barlow for Sedge before Rico Kilbourn got the Weavers back into it with half an hour to go.

Golcar were very competitive in that game but hopefully this time there will be a point or three to go with it.

Buses 218 & 220 (Leeds - Huddersfield) pass top of Quaker Lane. Public Transport: Station: Dewsbury 4¾ miles. Arriva Yorkshire 253, 254 from Dewsbury (Bus Station, 5 minutes walk from station) to Cleckheaton (Westgate, Carr Street) three times per hour, journey time 45 minutes. Return bus runs from Cleckheaton (Westgate, Crown Street). Then continue along Westgate, right into Hightown Road, left into Quaker Lane, ground on left (8 minutes). For return bus, go right from Hightown Road into Westgate and bus stop on right (11 minutes).
