Joe Skarz and the lads will be hoping to bounce back after their valiant effort against promotion chasing Sheffield on Saturday. Despite being down to ten men for over an hour, The Weavers kept the score line to just 2-1 until Alexander Hardwick added a third in the last minute.
Although it was a defeat, there were a lot of positives to take into tomorrow night's fixture against Rossington Main.
The Rosso currently find themselves in the relegation spaces, only a point away from safety and three points behind ourselves in 15th place. With the all important three points at stake, it proves to be a vital clash for both sides to ensure safety.
Although their league positions suggests otherwise,Rossingtonprove to be a difficult side to play against as they have picked up form since the turn of the year. They have managed to beat playoff chasing Pickering in their last game, put five goals past Albion Sports in a 5-5 thriller and also beat Sheffield 1-0.
The side also have a game in hand on Golcar, two in hand on Albion Sports and Horbury as well as three games in hand over Bottesford Town. So all be it, they are rooted in the relegation spaces it is in their hands to pull themselves out of it.
In our previous meeting, we came away with a point after Archie Micklewaite scored a 90th minute equaliser to cancel out Alfie Wilkinson's goal that came just before half time.
Wilkinson scored his 7th goal of the season at the weekend, an absolute screamer that followed up a piece of individual brilliance, he will no doubt be hoping to add to his tally this weekend against familiar opposition.
It could well be the battle of the Arbouin's on Tuesday, as Rion takes on Masai. Masai Arbouin recently left Golcar for Rossington and has appeared on three occasions from the bench for the visitors so far. The midfielder featured 23 times for The Weavers this season, before making the switch.
The visitors have scored 16 and conceded 11 in their last six games, so tomorrow night could prove to have some goals in it. Forwards Ashley Flynn and George Doyle will both be looking to pounce on the opportunity and get back on the scoresheet and add to their goalscoring tallies.
It would be great to see as many of you at the Skye Direct Stadium to help cheer us on to some vital points in our bid for survival.
Don't forget we also play at home on Saturday against Penistone Church, another important fixture as we look to put more distance between ourselves and the drop. We hope to see you all there.
