MATCH PREVIEW | Golcar United vs Tadcaster Albion (A)

Jack Howarth19 Feb - 19:30

Friday Night Action Awaits for The Weavers!

Golcar are back on the road again, this time making the trip to Tadcaster Albion.

We go into the game after back to back league wins, in the hopes to make it three for the second time this season. Having scored nine goals in our last two outings and will be hoping to make the most of this goalscoring form we are in.

On top of that we have only lost once in our last seven are hoping to carry on our promising form.

Our hosts tomorrow evening have undergone a difficult period and have fallen outside of the playoff places after losing three of their last four games, finally putting an end to their bad run with a 2-0 win against Rossington.

Despite their tough run, The Brewers find themselves only one point outside the playoffs still and can temporarily put themselves back in promotion contention.

At the opposite end of the table, The Village have put some distance between ourselves and the drop zone, now six points clear of the relegation places.

Our last meeting ended in a 1-1 draw at the Skye Direct Stadium, due to a late equaliser from Desmond Okoro denying us all the spoils.

Callum Petch saw red but it was still a tight affair and could have gone either way, but after playing with ten men for the majority of the game the man advantage took it's toll.

Oliver Green has been The Brewers most prolific outlet this term, scoring 21 in all competitions so far. He is goalless in his last three games but previously scored five in four before that.

Another key player for the side this year has been Spencer Harris, who has featured in the majority of games for Tadcaster this season. The experienced midfielder came through at Huddersfield Town originally, before having a good career across non league.

With quality littered throughout both sides, a good contest is on the cards tomorrow evening. We hope to see as many of you as possible make the journey up to Tadcaster to support the lads onto another successful result.

Safe journey,

Up The Village!
