After earning their first point of the season on Tuesday night against Beverley Town, it's another home match this Saturday but this time in the FA Vase 1st Qualifying Round.
The Weavers welcome Goole AFC who finished rock bottom of the Northern Counties East League Premier Division last season and currently sit 7th in Division One with three wins and two losses to their name after five games
The winners of the tie on Saturday will welcome either Division One side Club Thorne Colliery or Premier Division team Horbury Town in the 2nd Qualifying Round on the 20th September.
Last season, Golcar acheived the double over Goole with a 2-0 win at the Skye Direct Stadium back in the October and a big 5-2 victory away from home in March which saw five different scorers on the sheet for the Village after being 2-1 down at one point.
Golcar's best run in the FA Vase came both in 2021/22 and 2022/23 season where they reached the first round proper, losing to Newcastle Benfield and West Didbury and Chorlton respectively.
Last season, the Weavers exited at this upcoming stage last season. Despite drawing 2-2 to New Mills, the visitors that day won on penalties.
The Skye Direct Stadium awaits the two teams on Saturday afternoon.
