Following on from two difficult away games it was a welcome return home for Joe Skarz's Weavers where recently they have looked unbeatable.
The previous two home fixtures have resulted in 4–0 and 4–1 wins, with the Skye Direct becoming something of a fortress.
Rossington Main made the trip northwest from Doncaster, enjoying a solid spell of form.
Sitting in 19th, it has been a difficult season for them thus far, but came in to this one off the back of an impressive 2-1 victory over promotion hopefuls Pickering Town.
The team featured two changes, with Rico Kilbourn returning to the starting eleven and Jackson Durham replacing Kallum Reid.
Masai Arbouin returned to Golcar in the starting line-up for Rosso.
A feature of the Weavers' strong home form has been rip-roaring starts and that theme continued as Oliver Russon opened the scoring inside five minutes.
The midfielder curled the ball precisely into the far corner to launch his side into an early lead.
Rossington gave as good as they got in the opening stages, creating several good chances.
Striker Myron Gibbons has been on fire in recent weeks and was a clear danger. Two shots from distance were well-saved by Aston Wilson in the Golcar goal, both down low to his right-hand side.
The visitors then looked destined to equalise just moments later but a goal-line clearance from Ryan Wadsworth denied them.
After that the first half fizzled out, with Golcar continuing to push but not quite being able to add a second before the break.
At the start of the second 45, Rossington looked renewed and again had a couple of chances, one falling to Gibbons which he dragged just wide.
Those missed chances were punished just before the hour mark, when Ashley Flynn jinked past two to get into the box, before being taken down for a pretty clear penalty.
George Doyle stepped up to take and calmly place home into the bottom left corner to give the Weavers a much-needed cushion.
That cushion seemed to give Golcar confidence as well, as they began to dominate the game, pushing forward while giving nothing away at the back.
Rosso were warned that a third could be coming when Flynn nearly scored, heading back across goal from a Doyle cross but the effort was cleared off the line.
Flynn couldn't be kept out for long though.
He added to his tally after receiving an inch-perfect pass from Alfie Wilkinson over the top, Flynn took it down expertly before rounding the keeper and firing home.
That put the game to bed, although the Weavers had chances later to make it four.
It finished up 3-0 to add to a number of entertaining victories at home this season.
The win pushes Golcar up to 14th and just three points from 10th whilst halting Rossington's momentum as they remain 19th.
