Golcar United are ecstatic to announce the signings of George Doyle and Alfie Wilkinson on contracts for the 2026/27 as Joe Skarz plans ahead after we recently announced the signing of Ollie Russon.

Joe Skarz adds:

"Delighted we have got both players committed and secured for next season.

2 players along with Ollie Russon who love playing for the club and who myself and Franky wanted to get sorted early to show the clubs commitment to them too.

Doyley has been fantastic since he returned, taking on the responsibility of the armband too. His 22 goals in 26 league have been pivotal for us but it's his all round game which make him the player he is. I firmly believe at still only 27 he can get better and better.

Alfie again since he returned to us permanently has been brilliant and now playing in a midfield role he can really showcase the talent and technical ability he has. At 21 years of age he has got so much more to come and we are thrilled he has committed to us.

It will be nice for both individuals too that when the season finishes they know they will be returning for pre season with us rather than last season where I can imagine their phones were quite busy!

Russon, Doyle and Wilkinson are all at a really good age secured and committed for the 26/27 season.
