Golcar United are delighted to welcome Huddersfield Town goalkeeper, Hugo Bennett, back to the Skye Direct Stadium on a work experience loan until 1st January 2027.

Hugo joined the Weavers in November 2025 and made a string of fantastic performances, including saving a penalty and keeping a clean sheet on his debut vs Pickering Town.

Some of you may have spotted the familiar face playing for Huddersfield Town U21s in our friendly earlier this month after he recently signed his first professional contract.

"Firstly, thanks to Huddersfield Town for trusting us as a football club to continue aiding Hugo's development.

Hugo really impressed everyone last season and we're delighted he's back with us.

Playing men's football week-in, week-out is brilliant for his development alongside training full time with Huddersfield Town. He also has really good competition in Harry Stead who has been performing really well during pre-season so Hugo knows he has to perform."

Hugo Bennett will be available for selection on Saturday 25th July as we take on Retford United at the Skye Direct Stadium
